The beta release of the first Head Games' product 'HeadLock' is now available to download from the Downloads section of the Head Games website.
HeadLock uses a standard PC webcam to track the movement of a player's head and converts the movement into key presses to control the in-game character or trigger game play features.
HeadLock can be configured to generate any keyboard input into any PC game. For example, It can be used to control the movement of an in-game character (lean, duck and jump), to equip inventory items or reload weapons.
Movement control in first person shooter (FPS) games, increases the feeling of reality and immersion in the game.
The beta release is available to users registered on the www.head-games.org website. The software will run for 30 days from product registration. Users providing feedback can have their beta period extended for a further 30 days. In order to run HeadLock, users will need a PC running Windows XP or Vista and a webcam that supports DirectShow.
